Free countdown video maker
Just type the number of seconds and export. Countdown Studio supports both countdown and count-up, exports to MP4 and WebM, and runs entirely in your browser — no sign-up, no install. There is no watermark, and the videos you make are free for commercial use.
How to use (3 steps)
- Pick a mode (countdown or count-up) and enter the seconds.
- Choose aspect ratio, theme, background, font, ending effect and sound.
- Press “Export video” and the video downloads as a file.
Great for
- “Starting soon” countdowns for YouTube and live streams
- Openers and hype intros for TikTok and short videos
- Counting down to a sale, product launch or event
- Break timers for presentations, seminars and webinars
- Intros for wedding and anniversary videos
Put a timer over your own video (overlay)
Choose “Overlay” to make a video of just the numbers, ready to layer onto your existing footage. Pick one of three options depending on your editor.
Black (easiest)
Export on a black background, then set the blend mode to “Screen” or “Lighten” in your editor — the black disappears and only the numbers show. Works easily in CapCut and Premiere Pro.
Green screen
Export on a green background and apply chroma key (remove the green). Works reliably in almost any editor.
Transparent WebM
Export a WebM with a transparent background. In editors that support alpha (such as DaVinci Resolve), just layer it on top and the numbers appear.
